RAA Liaison Letter – 2025 / 2026 Edition 76 103rd Battery – Tempo, Adaptability and Littoral Competence 103rd Battery at the conclusion of Ex Predators Run 103 Battery demonstrated exceptional tempo and adaptability across training and operations. The Battery delivered precise effects at extremely demanding Danger Close distances, then sustained manoeuvre across the Predator series - deploying multiple times daily between main and alternate positions in response to threat and task. The Battery also fired in conjunction with US Marine Corps elements and rapidly transitioned between environments during Ex Talisman Sabre. In September, 103 Bty led the Regiment’s contribution to OP Resolute, employing smallboat operations, layered reconnaissance and robust communications architectures to achieve tangible operational outcomes. Regimental personnel conducting maritime operations during OP Resolute Operations and International Engagement – Presence Across the Indo-Pacific Regional engagement activities strengthened interoperability and partner relationships The Regiment’s OAI footprint was broad and productive. Contingents deployed throughout the Pacific, with major engagements including Ex Alon, JATT - Philippines and MTT - TimorLeste with artillery officers leading key activities and delivering strong outcomes. OP Resolute was a standout domestic operation, offering an opportunity to develop watermanship and test C2 and data architecture in demanding conditions. Equally important, soldiers gained exposure to a motivated and capable adversary with deep terrain knowledge - experience that will pay dividends in future operations. Fitness and Readiness – Resetting Standards Fitness has been a focus area, with the Regiment conducting the PLA Fitness Test as a comparative benchmark and to reinforce the expectation that baseline fitness is nonnegotiable. The results are encouraging but remain a long-term effort. The Regiment will continue to drive a disciplined, leader-led fitness culture - built on consistency, accountability and support for those working to improve. Conclusion 2025 was a defining year, we fired further, trained harder, deployed wider and learned valuable lessons through both success and friction. The Regiment achieved historic milestones, strengthened regional partnerships and improved readiness. As we close 2025, we do so with pride in what we have achieved and with clear intent to build an even stronger, fitter and more resilient Regiment in 2026.
