October 2025 167th 02 Oct 1858 Her Majesty Queen Victoria grants the accolade 'Royal' to the Victoria Volunteer Artillery Regiment. 134th 09 Oct 1891 Precedence of ‘Right of the Line’ over the Victorian Cavalry granted to the Victorian Horse Artillery when on parade with its guns. 86th 13 Oct 1939 The artillery of the Second Australian Imperial Force is recruited for war service from volunteers who had attested for service outside the Commonwealth of Australia for the duration of the Second World War and any period thereafter as proclaimed necessary by the Governor-General.[xx] This force eventually included four complete divisional artilleries, a corps artillery, and certain miscellaneous units.
