Planned and executed by HQ 10 Brigade, the serials synchronised allied air, land and maritime elements to show how the Joint Force aligns effects across a dynamic battlespace. Central to the day was a milestone for Army and the 10th Brigade: the first live firing of an Australian HIMARS by 14th Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. More than a symbolic event, it signalled acceleration in LAND 8113 Phase 1 and demonstrated how long‑range precision surface fires are being integrated into joint plans and prioritised at the highest level. Shaping the Deep The deep fight opened with a United States Marine Corps air package—F‑35B Joint Strike Fighters, AH‑1Z Viper and UH‑1Y Venom— operating from amphibious platforms to penetrate layered air defences and suppress surface‑to‑air systems and radars.
