RAA Liaison Letter – 2024 / 2025 Edition 60 NQ WFX into EX Southern Jackaroo LFX – Integrating with US Army, US marines, JGSDF to run multinational fire units under 4 Regiment to provide Close Fires for the 3 BDE as part of the Warfighter conducted by CTC. Culminating in an LFX with 4 Regiment providing Danger Close fires to 350m and DPRAC orchestrating 46 traces to provide the most realistic training serials for the Brigade and international partners. EX NADZAB – Our remediation and innovation Exercise where the Regiment can build on areas that were missed or need refinement, whilst testing new concepts and equipment in a learning prioritised environment. This included air mobile operations, live fire defence of the gun position and break contact drills, modified safety pistol gun scenarios and utilising 4 Regiment’s UAS to call in fire. Ex KERIS-WOOMERA 24– 106 Bty as part of the GCE deploying into the region in preparation for a combined LFX with the TNI in Indonesia – 51 years since the last time Australian Guns have fired offshore. Tully rotation – Getting the Regiment back into the jungle replicating our Primary Operating Environment and learning how difficult it is to employ artillery effects in close country.
