Importantly, by the end of 2024, the Regiment was notified that ‘A’ Battery would regain its gun line under the 2025 force structure, following improvements in personnel readiness and equipment serviceability. This adjustment will result in the RBG Battery holding 4x M777 Howitzers, and ‘A’ Battery and 104 Battery holding 3x M777s each—restoring firepower across all three gun Batteries and aligning force generation with operational needs. War Fighting Culture: Built on All Corps Mastery Beyond artillery-specific tasks, the Regiment focused on strengthening foundational soldiering skills across all ranks. Soldiers excelled in small arms field firing, patrolling, and dismounted manoeuvre activities. All members also took part in a unit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament, with select members participating in Brigade-level All Corps Combatives tournaments, placing first and second across several categories. The Regiment’s sections that competed in the Brigade Military Skills competition achieved an equal first and second place, contributing to the Regiment coming 2nd in the Brigade Commander’s Trophy. These efforts reinforced personal toughness, tactical confidence, and cross-training culture across all Batteries. A Cohesive, Professional Fighting Force Throughout 2023 and 2024, the Regiment maintained an operational tempo that demanded support and synchronisation from all ranks and trades. Command system operators, gunners, JFTs, logisticians and drivers all worked collectively to ensure that deployments were realistic, sustainable, and tactically challenging.
