Over 160 pages Hemi lays out the rich history of all the batteries that have carried the 103 Battery title since the raising of the first 103 Howitzer Battery at Tel El Kebir on 6 March 1916. This book has taken on added importance as the RAAHC has recently learnt that 103 Battery will be disbanded in January 2025. It has been a privilege to support a young NCO with a passion for his Battery and its history, and to encourage him in his ambition to write the book. A small number of books have been produced for Hemi to distribute but the e-version can be found on the Australian Artillery Association website at https://www.australianartilleryassocia tion.org/books/books.html. The RAAHC congratulates Hemi on his achievement and thanks him for producing such a useful Battery history. We stand ready to support and encourage any other budding or experienced historians who want to write about their Battery, Regiment or experience as a Gunner. Once a Gunner, Always a Gunner. We stand ready to support and encourage any other budding or experienced historians who want to write about their Battery, Regiment or experience as a Gunner. Once a Gunner, Always a Gunner Note from Lance Bombardier Hemi Croft The books look fantastic! Seeing them in their final form is truly surreal. I can’t express how much it means to me.’ Thank you and the RAAHC for the support and assistance throughout, it has been instrumental in bringing this book to life. Above all else I feel privileged to have been able to contribute to our shared heritage and I'm extremely humbled to know that everyone who contributed will receive a copy as well as the Cutler Research Centre. It’s something I’ll always cherish. T
